Our Rentals

For persons of adult height, we will only be renting electric-pedal assist bicycles that are suitable for riding around the Trout Run Trail and around town. 
We do not have any non-electric adult bicycles for rent.

Height and age are the primary determining factors for our rental kids' bikes. 
Please know we have very limited numbers of non-electric bikes for kids.

*Helmets are required and provided if you do not have your own.
*Rental is available during our hours of operation. 

Rental is unavailable on Mondays and Tuesdays. No exceptions.

Rental FAQs

We do not take reservations for bike rentals.

All of our electric bikes are pedal assist. This means you only get assistance when you pedal the bike. You can adjust the assistance up, down, or turn it off to achieve the workout you desire!
 We do not carry, sell, or rent options that use a throttle system.  
We do not have mountain bikes, electric-assist mountain bikes, or fatbikes available for rent.

We will help everyone as quickly as we are able and appreciate your patience!
We rent bikes during our business hours.
All rentals are first come, first served- No Reservations

*If renting for the up to 4 hour time period in the afternoon please note that the rental bicycle must be returned no later than an hour after we close.

We ask that our renters respect the time period they rented for- Please do not be more than 15 minutes late with the return of your rental.

Rentals are accommodated during our business hours. If you are wishing to rent for Monday/Tuesday, you must rent on Sunday before we close. 
We do not provide rental on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thank you for understanding.

Our business hours are as follows:
Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays
12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays

Please keep in mind that Decorah Bicycles will be closed for vacation at the end of September/early October.

Additional Information

1. Please note that all rentals are first come, first served. No reservations.

2. Helmets are required with all bicycle/trailer/tag-along rentals be it the rental helmet we provide or your own helmet. No exceptions.

3. Any damage to our rental equipment beyond normal wear and tear will incur an additional charge.
Examples: You crash and bend a wheel, you will be responsible for the cost of a replacement wheel.
You crash and damage the rear derailleur, you will be responsible for the cost of a replacement derailleur.
